Research computing at Syracuse University is a collaborative effort between the campus research community and technology groups from across campus.
The technology groups include both distributed information technology teams as well as support from Information Technology Services (ITS) which provides research computing infrastructure resources. These campus wide resources include:
- OrangeGrid, a 10,000 core High Throughput Computing environment
- Academic Virtual Hosting Environment (AVHE), a virtual private cloud provided for researcher use
- Crush Cloud, a 5,000 core virtual private cloud for computationally intensive research computing needs
Within ITS, research computing efforts are led by Associate CIO, Eric Sedore.
